Thanks for stopping by for this week’s Style Scouting. My Sunday post where I share the random stuff that captured my attention or inspired me that I found online.
As the season of autumn goes, here in SC we are having a stellar one. The leaves are just beginning to change colors. I have to look out over the lake at the shore line across from us to see any color since many of the trees around my house are evergreens.
As much as I love our trees, this past week we needed to get 3 tree trimming services come out to give us estimates on how much it is going to cost to remove this tree while the lake level is down a bit.
As you can see it is leaning and top top heavy on the left which is pulling the base of the tree out of the ground.
I don’t like having to take any trees down. I love all of them and how they frame our property, but this one is going to end up in the lake if we don’t take care of it. If that happens, it would be very hard to remove it out of the water.
So this week, the tree comes down. I am thinking if I want to have the tree guys cut me a few wood slices to create something with. When a neighbor had a tree cut down soon after we moved to the house, I asked for a piece and made a tree trunk table with it for the deck.
I have to put my thinking cap on. Do you have any ideas?
